PRODUCT DATA SHEET:

D760 is a macroporous styrene-based ion exchange resin with chelating aminomethylphosphonic acid groups, specializing in selective removal of transition heavy metals and alkaline-earth metal cations.

For its superior advantages of extra firm structure, excellent chemical stability, large mesh size as well as its high capacity of chelating  group to exchange ions, especially its high selectivity towards calcium and magnesium ions, it is mainly used for the removal of calcium and magnesium impurities for brine purification during chlor-alkali production.

Another strength of D760 lies in its special phosphonic functional groups can form highly stable complexes with multivalent metal ions due to the action of its complex ligands, thereby often being used in industrial wastewater where traces of toxic metals coexist with plenty of alkali metals for targeted removal of transition metals. Such applicable scenarios, to name a few, can be separation and concentration of transition heavy metallic ions as uranium, copper, lead and zinc, and in the process of nickel, cobalt or copper electrolyte purification, as well as in hydrometallurgy for the extraction and recovery of precious metals.

In addition, owing to its groups’ strong affinity for low atomic weight metals as alkali-earth metallic cations, D760 performs 20% increasing exchange capacity for calcium and even twice more than that of the equivalent resins for adsorbing strontium and barium, which is being widely applied in the lithium electrolyte brine purification, and the like.
