Styrene-based(X4%DVB) Anion Exchange Resin for Organic-Anions Adsorption in Antibiotics Extraction and Drinking Water Purification


201X4, aka 711 is a premium grade strongly basic anion exchange resin of the type I, containing trimethylamine groups with a clear gel structure. Instead of being polymerized by styrene and regular proportion of 7%divinylbenzene(DVB), this resin is cross-linked by 4% divinylbenzene(DVB), thus particle size of which is with less condensed structure for its a bit looser physical porosity and so more readily to be desorbed and regenerated, plus slightly less intensity of granular strength and a bit fragile against pressure, when it is compared to the regular anion-exchange resin model of 201X7(717).

Compared with 717 that is most applicable in adsorbing inorganic anions, 711’s special physical porosity right captures the slightly bigger size of organic anions or negative organic micromolecules, such as microbiotics, antibiotics, enzymes or yeast, etc. Plus its excellent elution efficacy and high regeneration efficiency, 717 model is an optimal product to be applied in extracting such antibiotics as penicillin in biopharmaceutical process, as well as widely to be used in pure-water preparations for drinking water and food fermentation processing.
