Styrene-based Anion Exchange Resin for F&B Demineralization

PRODUCT DATA SHEET:

717FG is a premium grade strongly basic anion exchange resin of the type I, containing trimethylamine groups with a clear gel structure. Polymerized by styrene and regular proportion of 7%divinylbenzene(DVB), this resin is structured with rather condensed porosity and thus performs quite intense granular strength. Therefore, it is a bit less easily to be eluted and regenerated, when it is compared to 717 whose degree of crosslinking is of 4%DVB.

As far as 717FG’s porosity can fit, such inorganic anions as radicals of both strong and weak bases from minerals and salts left in raffinate or residual liquids are most likely to be right captured and tightly adsorbed by this resin. For its rather high exchange capacity of removal necessary anions, 717FG is often coupled with 732FG as a combined-solution to have been widely applied in demineralization systems or pure-water preparations for food refining and drinking water processing in F&B industry, as well as in biopharmaceutical drug-making process as required.
