Food Grade Macroporous Strong Acid Polystyrene Cation Exchange Resin for Water Softening, Decolorization &Deodorization in F&B Industry


D001-FG is a food grade strongly acidic cation exchange resin of the sulphonated polystyrene series, chemical polymerized into macroporous granules. It has excellent physical and chemical stability and thermostable performance. Structured with fine porosity and quite intense granular strength, D001-FG performs extra strong adsorbability with positive organic molecules and nonpolar organics, in addition to performing high exchange capacity of separating inorganic cations of metal salts and nonmetal minerals, such as metal cations K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ or nonmetallic ammonium NH4+. This premium resin model is hereby most suitable for hardness removal or water softening for demineralization system and industrial pure-water preparations when organics are required to release.

In replacement of typical combined applications in traditional drinking water and food fermentation industries, D001-FG is the upgrade alternative to be coupled-used with D201FG for demineralization, deionization &deorganics purposes within organic solutions. Specifically metal cations as well as postive organic molecules of color and odor are all removed by D001-FG as required, while acids radicals as well as negative organics of color and odor are subject to D201FG’s chemical macropores to be captured and released. D001-FG therefore has been widely used for desalting, refining and softening in food &beverage, medicine &pharmaceuticals and sugar refining industries. Particularly in the deionizing and decoloring process of water preparations for drinking water and processed food.
